	Why is restaurant dinnerware simply better? The main reason is that it is vitrified, which literally means it doesn't absorb moisture. Most retail brands are not vitrified and are porous. They absorb water through the dry foot. When the porous plate is heated and cooled, the body expands and a different rate than the water in it. This causes the body to become weak over time. Not the case with vitrified restaurant dinnerware. This is why you can microwave it... and take it from the freezer to the oven! This is tough, good looking dinnerware that'll last a long time!
